Step Modifications (previously "S.T.E.P.") is a nonprofit supporting the modding community. We operate a community-maintained website and provide a guided modding methodology using our custom framework. Our official guides are geared towards the general public, so little to no technical experience is required to understand and use our core guides. That said, we also offer and support advanced modding guides as well as a Mod Stewardship Service for retired authors (so the community doesn't lose good mods!).

 

To this day, the Step website is a free resource and service available to all and without any advertising.

 

This is a shared member account established for us by Nexus Mods in order to maintain our contributions in aggregate. The account is managed by the Step Modifications board members, and most of us have moved most of our personal mods into this account for long-term stewardship by the collective under the cathedral-modding paradigm.
