Mike Porter

Senior Wildlife and Fisheries Consultant

Porter is a senior wildlife and fisheries consultant in the producer relations program. When he joined the organization in 1980, he was the first wildlife consultant in the organization, and, through his effort, the division began a wildlife and fisheries program.

His career has been devoted to helping people, especially land managers, better understand, conserve, and manage wildlife and fisheries resources.

Before coming to the Noble Research Institute, Porter worked as an independent wildlife management consultant for ranchers in South Texas, as a range research technical assistant for Texas A&M University Range Sciences Department, and as a graduate research assistant for the Texas A&M University Wildlife and Fisheries Department.
